Fox Laser is equipped with the latest generation handheld fiber laser for manual welding from the pioneer in fibre technology, IPG Photonics. The fibre laser machine can weld carbon, galvanised, and stainless steels, aluminium, and non-ferrous metals. The advantage of laser welding lies in its excellent repeatability due to consistent welding parameters, significantly less heating, and consequently minimal deformation even in thin sheet materials.
Laser welding is a very fast process that surpasses conventional welding several times over. The IPG Photonics fiber laser stands out with a very well-modulated beam and the absence of weld porosity, which is characteristic of alternative manufacturers of manual lasers. The shielding gases can be Argon, Nitrogen, or a mix of Argon with CO2.
The machine's capabilities cover all materials up to 4.0mm in thickness.
